THUR 02/18 • Just wanted to let you all know that the team arrived safely last night around 10 p.m. Their day started just a bit later today, and they are off to work. It is extremely hot (100+ and humid)! We are forcing water on each of them. It is not pleasant and I know they would appreciate your prayers.
Thank you so much for sharing your loved ones with us! Ted and Diane Weinberg
FRI 02/19 • We made it in good shape after getting out of Dayton and Atlanta. Darryl (CA) the welder, had connection issues because of bad equipment in Wash DC. He was routed through Nigeria on Air Italia! But he is here. It is warm…not sure how warm as we don’t have a thermometer, but think Tucson in July with humidity. We did not get a lot accomplished on day one (which often is the case on these trips). God is good. We are getting acquainted as a team. We will work through Saturday and then take Sunday off. I will preach Sunday night (that is when their service is). Not much sight seeing in this part of the world. Let everyone know we are doing well, and that we hope to represent them here…for the Glory of God. Trust the snow is melting! Mikal
WED 02/24 • [Mikal called with an update today.] Temperatures range between 125 and 130 each day, cooling down to a balmy 105 at night. They are making slow progress on the trusses. The team is doing fairly well in spite of heat-related issues. They have had spotty electricity and water. Please pray for more consistent supply of power and water, a short term and long term problem. They are looking forward to a break on Saturday to do some sightseeing.
