MOPS & MOMSnext
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, an international organization that exists to encourage mothers who have young children. MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
MOMSnext (1st-12th grade) focuses on serving mothers of school-age kids, providing community that grows them as they mother. By building a safe and accepting community and providing growth opportunities, MOMSnext seeks to deepen mothers toward finding and sharing the renewing hope of Jesus.
It's a place where moms have the opportunity to:
- make new friends
- share experiences
- laugh together
- learn trusted principles pertaining to womanhood, marriage, and parenting.
MOPS also provides opportunities for social outings geared specifically for preschool aged children and their mothers, including Mom's Nights Out.
WHBC MOPS and MOMSnext meet from 9:15-11:15 am on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, September through May. Park in the back parking lot and enter through Door #4 labeled “Community Life Center.” Both our meeting space and the MOPSkids classrooms are right inside, on one level.
Children are left in the care of the MOPSkids program during meetings.
MOPS and MOMSnext groups gather throughout the United States, Canada, and numerous other countries to meet the needs of more than 100,000 women each year! The women you meet at your local MOPS and MOMSnext meeting may not all be of the same age, background, or lifestyle, but they're all in the same phase of life with a shared desire to be the best mother they can be.
Cost: $65/semester or $130 for the whole year. Scholarships are available. We want every mom who wants to participate to do so, without worrying about cost.
